Amazing to me that they would have unprotected cement walls on some of the fastest curves on the track, especially after what happened last year.

Everyone here knows that qualifying position matters little and no one here suggested otherwise.....

Qualifying times are an indicator of pace...and these races are run like sprint races now. So pace does indeed matter!

Amazed he was not more injured or even worse. Let's hope for a safe race and a Porsche victory.

They should have those high speed foam thingies on the whole track and 10ft high. A 24 hour race deserves all the safety it needs. Mike

i think i remember watching an indepth look at nascar safety and they were saying that stuff is like INSANE expensive but really effective. infact many nascar tracks where the cars peg at 200mph and wrecks happen all the time dont have that stuff in critical infield areas.
