Where to Get Racing Insurance??
I have been racing a 944TS for about 10-years now, and recently bought a GT3 Cup Car. Obviously the 944 TS was not a big deal if I cracked it up...a few clicks on ebay and voila...cheap parts on my porch via UPS. The Cup car on the other hand is going to be stupid expensive if there is an ON TRACK incident.
Anybody know a company that insures cars on track (About 10-races a year)?? Been able to find DE insurance but no racer's.
Thanks!

Track Insurance
Hey guys & thanks for the shout out raclaims. So this is exactly my area of expertise. I can do legit Agreed Value On-Track Physical Damage coverage for HPDE, Club Racing and Country Club Member Days underwritten by one of the most recognized and largest insurance companies in the world. I'll be upfront that this coverage comes as part of a package and to qualify I have to provide at least coverage on your home(s), regular autos & umbrella. That said all the coverage I offer is second to none. Shoot me an email if you would like info. morgan@haydenwood.com.

I am looking for race insurance and spoke with Peter today. Great guy and the price for the insurance is actually cheaper if you do a lot of DE and races. Last year I did about 12 DE events. I figure Lockton's premium for DE insurance would come to about $5k. Peter's quote is unlimited for DE, races, test and tune, etc.
The problem is its about $7,500 all due at once.
Transportation down to Sebring, tires, entry fee, track support, hotel, airfare, food, new race suit, helmet, brakes and other stuff to get my car ready. Big money.
Add to this Christmas and end of year taxes and other expense. My budget is getting stretched.
Other than taking up a cheaper hobby does anyone know of a one off race insurer? The other companies in this thread don't seem to offer something for amateurs.

I'm strongly in the self insure camp. I never buy extended warranties and I also believe you shouldn't race something that you can't walk away from financially. So if you need insurance to make racing that car financially feasible...not saying that's necessarily you.

Perhaps you don't understand the concept of insurance. Its to manage a risk that you can't, or don't want to, assume on your own. But thanks for the least helpful response I have ever receive on RL.

Insurance threads tend to attract unhelpful responses. Yours is a classic - 'where can I buy insurance for my...' Response 'don't buy insurance it's stupid...' 😄
I guess it's the nature of posting.

That being said, it looks like I am going with Peter Serida. I'll suck it up and then not have to worry about it for a year.

I've been happy with both Drew Morici @ Responsive 945 282 1127
and Peter Sereda @ Laurel consulting 888-305-4442
Unfortunately I've had claims with both these guys
and they have both been complete gentlemen in settling.
Drew is in Fl if that helps the OP
