AIM Race Studio 3 Beta released!
Hot damn! Only differences right now are added config options for the new equipment releases, but that means we'll have them very soon!

Three Wheelin'
I tried RS 3 on an existing AIM Pista dash and a SOLO DL and it did not recognize the devices. It did recognize the new SC HD though. At this point it just looks like Smarty Manager 2.

It's only for the new stuff configuration right now. Not for legacy equipment or analysis yet...
That is why they call it "beta..."

You're right. It should have read "alpha"
Don't see where it was particularly abrasive...

google loves Beta releases - free software benefits greatly from a Beta phase, but then is it really free?

RS3 Beta pulled. Back again, soon. I hope...
SmartyManager 2 and GPS Manager 2 have new releases, along with new firmware for the HD cams.
As with anything AiM, when it comes, it comes... I'll believe it when I see it!

Many folks use Parallels with Win7 Home.
I prefer Win7 under Boot Camp because then I can use the hardware graphics power natively, rather than through software emulation required by Parallels or VMWare, due to my extensive use of HD video.
Dedicated PC's always seem to be in a place other than where you need them! Lol!

I use VMware Fusion and it works fine with race studio.
NOTE: Don't try to upgrade the firmware with fusion or parallels. you need a dedicated windows PC. Maybe boot camp works fine. I tried with Fusion, I thought I bricked the AIM, had an old laptop with windows and was able to get it working fine. I should know better :-)

See the release notes here: http://www.aim-sportline.com/downloa...plications.pdf
You CAN do this now in VMWare or Parallels without the problem that you experienced....
