It was better than a Red Bull fest. As for Massa, what was Wiiliams thinking, doing the exact thing that pissed Massa off at Ferrari.

One of the more boring races I've watched and worst sounding I've heard. Nobody up front was really pressing anybody else for position. At least last year guys were fighting for 2nd place. Red Bull is too quickly getting back on form and Vettle's teammate curse seems in full effect. Alonso is not able to put the power down to even make the race start entertaining. No sure, but I suspect fuel uses rules may have kept Kimi from fight back to get into the points... Use too much and you get DQed or run out. The new season excitement is starting to drain quickly for me. I predict a season of Merc, Merc, Vettle.

Vettel misses pole by 5/100ths of second in very challenging conditions, gaping 3rd by more than 1/2 second and Ricciardo by more than a second. Finishes on the podium against Mercedes, which most here view has superior to the Red Bull at the moment. I agree that Ricciardo and Botas are talents but as for Vettel not figuring it out….

Aside from the noise I got pumped up by watching some highlights from the pre-BS-tire and pre-modern turbo-era F1. Don't do that. The current cars look like they're going in slow motion. Going to toss out there that Schuey's 2004 pole lap was in the 1:33s and the fastest lap in 2009 was in the 1:36s. Lewis put together a brilliant fastest lap of 1:43 during the race...

I have watched F1 and attended races for over 40 years and today I can honestly say I was very uninterested after the first few laps .

Even the dominance of Ferrari and Schumi years were way better than this..........todays fastest lap was circa 10secs slower than they were 10 years ago, OMG!

Tire conservation mode has been boring from the onset of no refueling.

I fell asleep during the race.... it's just not compelling like it used to be and they're losing me too. Sound, lack of speed, can't go flat out because you have to conserve fuel... where is F1 going with this ???

The F1 sound is no longer distinguishable from other forms of motor racing. I really miss the high pitch whining from the F1 of old. Is the fuel savings even close to being a story the fans want to hear about? I'm all about "Progression" but not sure if one can call this move "Progress". Maybe will see F1 running turbo diesels in 2015? Now that's a sound we can look forward to.

Fans will have to start boycotting the races and TV shows for the FIA to get the message. Green racing is a total joke, and Bernie should be ripping them a new one. I hope the Aussies move forward with their lawsuit.

Agree with most here. "Race" was a total borefest. I actually dozed off three times during it!
I'm gonna sit out this year's USGP. Only good thing about the season is seeing RBR eat crow.

i DVR'd it, and watched the standing start, and then DVR'd through till i saw cars stranged and stopped,
anyone who thought the last 2,3 years were boring with vettel and wanted these changes i think will have a new definition of boring. was so bad.
i watched 1/2 the INdy Car race, more entertaining.

I can't get over how stupid that graphic is... I think the FIA has to face the fact that race car fans are one of the last people to let go of their sport because of green initiatives. Burn it out, run it into the ground, but don't pretend to be environmentally friendly.

When you look at all of the jet fuel, tires used, support vehicles, helicopters, and general logistics, the fuel savings during the race is a pathetic attempt to appease people that don't care. I understand that the alternative drive units F1 uses are the future of cars, and I am not saying to get rid of them... but for the racers sakes, please give the teams at least 110% fuel and let them regulate the usage.

Two boring races... I will still watch the whole season, and then judge.

I am just ranting because I am concerned F1 has taken a turn for the worse...
