Thanks for the tips gary... Will certainly be interesting. First time behind the wheel in almost a year... New car to me... New spb build that's never been run before.. And i've never driven at lime rock...

And i just weighed the car today and need to figure out how to drop another 165 lbs.... And yes, i may even come up with more excuses... Just give me time.

Wow, and I thought my car was heavy at 80lbs overweight!

Hope you find the weight. I have been looking for it all over the car.

Glen, you will do great, but the last incident I saw at Limerock was a Boxster spinning like a top out of the downhill turn and flew into the pit entry, then climbed the Jersey barriers inside the hot pits.. left some wild-*** skid marks (can only assume his undies had parallel markings) so try not to do that.

That's a classic avatar. For those who don't know, 550 is the number of my new Boxster. But y'all wouldn't know this, because I haven't made a million excuses as to why I am going to do poorly at a new track (Road Atlanta) in a new car.

Have a little more confidence Ninja - you will do fine. I might even let you in on some go fast tricks at LRP if you are nice to me. First one free of charge: don't lift in the downhill, especially in a Spec Skirtster.

Anyone know what time the race starts on Saturday? I volunteered and have to be at LRP at 7:30am but am trying to figure out what time I will be home.

I'm told I will be at a flag station so I promise not to blue flag the first person to respond!

My sense isn't that there will likely be 4 run groups and each group will have:

- Warm-up
- Qualifying
- Race I
- Race II

Unfortunately I can't find last year's schedule. The first group should be warming up at 8:30 or 9:00 am.

I checked the mylaps scoring web site and it says the last race (Orange #2) started at 5:55pm and they're 35 minute races, so that puts it ending at 6:30pm.

HOWEVER!!!

I know that's too late. So I checked the mylaps schedule against my data acq system and the mylaps system is off by 2 hours. I bet Timing & Scoring didn't set the timing system against local time.

Putting it all together, the last race ended at 4:30pm and that feels about right.

Hope that helps. They'll publish a real schedule about a week before the event.

Thanks very much! Wife is trying to make plans that evening. Since I am off having fun the whole day I am trying to make her happy. It will be a long day but the thought of watching a race from a flag station is to much to pass. I'm looking forward to the experience. Hopefully I'll be out there in a few years.

Anyone looking for unmuffled track time at Lime Rock prior to the club race can still register for HVR/PCA's DE next Tuesday April 8, 2014. Register via
