Totally agree. The coverage sucks. And the website isn't any better. And, from what I'm hearing, competing in the series leaves a lot to be desired...not managed well. Disappointing for me since GrandAm is what I followed the most...lot's of good peeps I know that run in it.

negative.

I'm not sure why they trek all the way to Sebring vs. somewhere in Spain, italy, etc, other than having a huge amount of baseline data at Sebring.

That was my reason for asking. Why come all the way over here? There are plenty of tracks in Europe to test at....
Unless...maybe they are going to run "Exhibition" for the 12 hour? Like the old GT3 Hybrid did and originally the Delta Wing??

I'm not sure if IMSA/TUSC has an "exhibition" provision now, with no P1 and DeltaWang being integrated into the Prototype class with DPs and P2s.

I do know that NASCAR/France family really wants DPs to win all the big races, hence the BoP favoritism they get. so a WEC P1 car that would trounce them isn't welcome.

If you want to test durability, Sebring is the place. Tremendous shock loads on suspension and drive train

Since there is no more P1 in American road racing we have to wait for the WEC race at COTA to see Porsche's return. Even then it will be a WEC race with no US broadcast. I think WEC has no geo restriction on their website though.

Just a fan.. Have no video skills. But if you want to see the fun side of Sebring here is a video , a very professional video, of the group at turn 10 at Sebring who are hard core sports car racing fans who occupy turn 10. this video was created by a guy who I camp with in our smal group at Sebring who owns his own video production company. enjoy.

It's the France family, they would probably adopt some "LeMons" rules for the exhibition class. Like making the entire team do a Chinese fire drill every 25 laps and having he drivers write all over the race car 1,000 times: "I will not embarrass the DP cars...."

This. It's the best place to test for LeMans since you can't get on track there in France. Plus it makes for a good media event.
