Wasn't his idea....if you propose it to him he will just tell you no, and if you don't like it go start your own race series...... lol He talks so much about how expensive his insurance rates are to cover chump car, I doubt he wants any program depicting wrecks in his series to show up. We have been chumping for over 4 years (5-6 events a year) and the number of accidents is surprisingly low. Watkins glen last year in the rain did have the most we had ever seen, but luckily nothing serious.
Just spit my lunch all over my computer. Thanks!

LOL...simmer down, Malibu Barbie
We'll just have to agree to disagree. Since perception is reality, if the perception is raised that DE's are higher risk, I assure you that the reality is that premiums will increase substantially.
But...what do I know? I merely make my living in motorsports...

Porsche Club has belabored the point over the years that DE is not racing. If anything, pointing out that wrecks resulting from over aggressive driving as seen in ChumpCar do not happen in DEs should lead any reasonably intelligent person to the conclusion that they are not the same, and insurance rates based on one have no application to the other.

Just can't lay off the name calling and emoticons, can you? I'll be at CMP next weekend in the #202. Come talk to me face to face, maybe you won't be quite so arrogant in person.

Please calm down. I am just playing...relax. I am not name calling. Sheesh, why so sensitive? And I am certainly not going to dignify any "come talk to me face to face" blah blah macho blustering. Gary, don't encourage him!
Relax. I meant no harm. Namaste
Back on topic, you have just sort of contradicted yourself:
"Maybe you missed the fact that we were talking about TV. People, at least Americans, will only tune in to watch motor sports if there are crashes."
"Pointing out that wrecks resulting from over aggressive driving as seen in ChumpCar do not happen in DEs should lead any reasonably intelligent person to the conclusion that they are not the same..."
Which is it? Are they stupid TV watchers only interested in crashes, or reasonably intelligent people who can differentiate between various track events?
