I have always parked my open trailer at the track. Really never thought twice about. However, I am about to do a two day drive to TWS/COTA. The thought of having my car/trailer sit overnight in a hotel parking lot worries the crap out of me.
Not to worry. I have trailered over 100k miles all over the eastern us and as far west as CO. Stayed in some pretty sketchy areas over the years and never had anything stolen. Not saying it can't happen but I don't loose sleep over it.

Beetle is on extended vacation for a while. Getting the Civic ready for the Left Coast trip next May. Right now looks like 17 track days in May in CA, WA, and NV.
