I'm surprised and amazed at the amount of new track construction and renovation going on.
Hope they come to fruition - Palmer and Thompson sure sound like they will.

And here are the facility models & renderings from Barkow Leibinger...
"The building section of glu-lam timber is angular, dynamic and incrementally changes over its 400-foot length. A back-lot courtyard is formed by the building, which backs up to a terraced landscape. This space is used for shows and pre-race festivities. The construction is intended as pre-fabricated timber frames clad in a metal standing-seam skin on a concrete slab on-grade."

I want the bathrooms like in Paris where when the door closes, the whole thing is pressure washed and cleaned for the next person. The toilets in the Monte Carlo in Monaco have self cleaning seats!

We don't know if it's all scheduled for immediate construction. We might be looking at a 10 year projection. Monticello is adding every year, and it seems like every time I arrive at NJMP there's something new. It doesn't all go up at once.

Any updates on track progress or fallout from this meeting (http://www.masslive.com/news/index.s...ne_publ.html)?
Town of Ware to hold public forum regarding controversial Palmer Motorsports Park
WARE – Wanting answers themselves, selectmen in Ware have scheduled a public forum where residents and officials will discuss the impacts of a 2.3 mile, $20 million, road-racing course – known as Palmer Motorsports Park now under construction.
The meeting is set to take place at Ware Town Hall, 126 Main St. on May 6.
Residents complained about the track at last month’s selectmen’s meeting, and Ware town officials promised to provide information about the issue, including whether they had been informed about the proposal. Those expressing concern said excessive noise from the facility would lower their property values and interfere with their right to peace and quiet in their homes.
Documents obtained by the town of Palmer show that the municipal planning board advertised a public hearing that began in 2007. They state that surrounding communities and abutters were told about the meeting and invited to attend.
“The Planning Board Office scheduled a Public Hearing on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 7:10 p.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room. All departments, surrounding towns, and abutters were notified of the Public Hearing as required,” the panel wrote in a Dec. 17, 2007 site plan approval letter.
The records provided by Palmer Planning Board show that, except for project proponents and those involved with reviewing and approving the application, only one resident from Warren submitted public comments related to noise concerns......
