Track looks awesome but I'm also less than happy about how close all the cliffs and rocks walls are to the track. But beggars can't be choosers!

Wow - looks like fun, and close by for me.
At this early stage the runoffs look intimidating as hell. Will be interesting to see finished product.

Big elevation and big rocks. Hope they have a big track safety budget. Sure looks like fun.

Maybe those are the same foam rocks and cliff like they have at Disney?

Looks like an interesting layout.

Some of those sections are going to make for glorious car sounds.

That looks amazing! America's answer to Mount Panorama. I'm sure they'll get the safety stuff sorted - not even close to being finished a this point. Can't wait.

Only 2:15 for me to drive there...about the same for Lime Rock. This track looks a lot more interesting. Still love the rock though.

I drove the track today in my Suburban. This will be a very cool track. They still have lots of work to do with runoff areas, barriers, and facilities, but the pavement and topography is amazing. I can't wait to drive it.

Are the rock cuts as close as they seem?

Some are, some are not. The track will not suffer fools easily, but will be great to drive. The elevation and flow will be a blast.

Are they intending to be ready for Spring 2015?

With Watkins Glen down for the count for much of next year I am hoping Palmer will be another track within driving distance aside from Lime Rock and Thompson.

Yes. I believe they are planning to open in May.

SCDA tentatively has Palmer on their schedule for 2015. Elivan drove the track several weeks ago in his Passat:
