I'd love a OMP One size 48 (or similar Sparco/Alpinestars) if anyone is getting a group discount...at ~$1400 I can wait and try to get a discounted one next year. Like Doc sub $1000 is my budget.

OMP One is incredible. Coming from my original "Sparco suit" it is night and day. It is soooooo much lighter and cooler. IMO if you're budgeting 1000, go a little more and get the OMP One or comparable suit.
Clark at Apex gave me a great deal on mine.

You guys give Ron at Discovery Parts a call. He is pretty cool about putting deals together. http://www.discoveryparts.com/

"The Extrema RS-10 is the only single layer suit in the world to pass the FIA 8858/2000 homologation."
It weighs 700 grams. That is 24 ounces.
Rob at Wine Country Motorsports sent me an Extrema he had in stock to look at. Mind. Blown. By the way, their service, the quality of Rob's product representation, is absolutely incredible.
As with anything in motorsport that is paradigm changing, bring your wallet. But it is an insane suit for those seeking an ultra-light, high-protection suit. I can't wait for mine to arrive.

I'd look for a Stand21 suit on Ebay, etc. during the off season…They are incredible…expensive new though…I got a fairly good deal on one from the "discontinued" section at Stand21 in Georgia..

The Sparco Extrema is insanely lightweight. We have them in stock in all sizes. We have a large inventory of suits in stock in all models, sizes, and colors. Could ship from us the day you order it.
We have some good deals of previous year models of Sparco suits that we have on the shelf. They can be found here. You can find a nice lightweight suit in the $1,000 range, but the really lightweight suits will be more.

Current line up of Sparco. Well stocked on these as well:

Also have a good number of Alpinestars suits rolling in on a daily basis. Those can be found here:

Another vote for OMP One. When I was doing my research last summer, it won in terms of most lightness/breathability bang per buck. (LINK to the thread. And a LINK to the most relevant post.). I got it for $1400 from Ebay incl shipping (Damon Tweeks in UK) and am very happy with it. Extremely comfortable, light, and cool.

I asked for a 20% discount when I bought this new suit last year. Shop said OK. This suit is the lightest I have worn in 10+ years of racing. I love it.
Much better than the earlier Sparco's, but might be out of your price range. My buddy's with the new Alpine Stars are pissed when they felt it and tried it on. lol
