For Sale - ’02 996 GT3 Cup w/’05 Updates *Price Includes Delivery to Sebring 48hr*
Hi all, I just got off the phone with one of my customers, a long-time P-Club Racer named Randy Alexander, who asked me to help him sell his ’02 GT3 Cup.
I am intimately familiar with the history of this car as I was with Randy when he purchased it at the Indy F1 race in ’02. Alessandro Zampedri had just finished the Supercup season in seventh place, driving for PZ Rhein-Oberberg/Jürgen Alzen.
The car was then flown back to Germany where it was freshened prior to Randy taking delivery on it for the ‘03 season. He campaigned it in PCA through ’04 when I purchased it from him just prior to the Barber club race. I also ran in PCA, subsequently selling it back to Randy in ’08 where he continued on in PCA winning the 2012 Zone 13 in GTC3.
Throughout this period of time, this Cup has been obsessively maintained (the lion share being done at our shop, Accumoto) and has racked up it’s share of class wins, podiums and even a GTC3 track record along the way. As with most of the cars in the GTC ranks, this Cup has survived some minor “racing incidents” but has always been repaired properly and the rails and suspension pick-up points remain unmolested.
Unlike some 996 cups recently available, this car should have plenty of life left before the run-cost creep begins as both the engine and transmission have around 50 hours since the last rebuild. Stub axels, axels, rod ends and rotors have all been recently changed as well. JRZ double adjustable shock package and TPC sway bars are one season old.
This car is exceptionally clean throughout. Belts good through '15.
Sale includes air wand, additional set of BBS wheels, "Lufthansa" rings and miscellaneous spares.
Updates include:
-'04 gears upgrade
-'04 airbox upgrade
-Computer remapped to ’05 spec by Porsche Motorsport
-'04 rear bumper cover
-'04 rocker panel covers
This car is currently undergoing a complete exterior refresh including graphics removal. It will be available as a body-in-white canvas at our shop for inspection at your convenience. Airport transportation/lunch available for prospective buyer.
Now for the brass tacks… Randy wants this car gone, is allergic to negotiating and wants to see it stay in the PCA ranks. To help that happen, he has priced the car at $60k *including delivery to the Sebring David Murry Track Days/48 Hours Race* at the end of this month.
We could create and install numbers and a graphics package prior to Sebring.
Accumoto support for both David Murry and the 48 is available à la carte if desired.
Feel free to contact me at 608-850-5050.
Thanks!

Bump for another quality shop and car. You can trust whatever mark says about this car, its history and status. Good people, good staff.
Hey mark, that livery looks great. It is a shame to take it off.

Wow, awesome people.
Accumoto and Randy. Sometimes better to buy the seller than the car.
Delivered to Sebring, drive the crap out of it with full Accumoto track support available.
Leave your snowed in trailer and race car at home..
Even if you sell it afterwards, cheap ultimate vacation in sunny Florida!!
