Just posting to bump this. This was a great event last year and gives those hauling to TX for COTA a chance to try one of our gems. TWS is a fun and fast track with better run off than places like Watkins Glenn. College Station is a great location with good motels, food, auto parts, and even a close Harbor Freight for dealing with car stuff at the track.

Drive TWS Thursday, caravan to Austin late Thursday evening and drive COTA Friday morning. (perhaps VR can provide a drive time - hint, hint).

It's also a good event for locals who want to attend a TWS open track day on a Thursday.

While my driving may not be all that great, I've got tons of TWS video posted on my YouTube channel: TXE36's Youtube Channel

Here is a teaser of Andy Lally tackling TWS (skip to 2:50 for the good stuff):

Mike

See you there. We should be able to have fun together as my Si is 300# lighter than your M3 but probably down 30rwhp on the M3.

You can follow or ride with me. I can also ride with you. Last year one of the TWS hot shoes did some lead at the beginning to get the newbies up to speed. Like IZZONE I really like TWS as it is old and crusty like I am.

Just exchanged emails with a couple of Experienced drivers and like last year we will have a bit of lead follow for those interested. Helps get the track company line down and then you can work magic from there.

Yes we can arrange lead-follows for those new to TWS...worked well this past February.

This ia a great deal: $200 for a full day of literally open track at a fantastic track, right before you go to COTA!

VonSchimdt, can we drop cars at TWS the afternoon/evening before the event? If so, is it secure for leaving them there overnight?
