Another vote for the Stilo mic and speakers; the only problem I am having is that electronic noise from the modern cars is causing a whine in the speakers.
Has anyone else had this problem? I don't hear it in my 993, for example.
I wonder if I will in my new Cayman?

So far it's only happened in student cars and the wires just run between their helmet and mine (by way of the handheld Chatterbox itself) so that wasn't the cause.
But it's still good advice.

I am curious about how well the good the sound proofing muffs are on the Stilo.. After years of aural abuse - Rock & Roll and what not, my ears are delicate and easily injured. Doesn't much to give me painful tinitus. I've been wearing molded ear plugs and they really work for me. Without that protection, just 15 minutes in my own car would be ghastly and I am in real pain for many weeks.
But well fitting ear muffs like those on the Stilo is tempting.. Friends swear by it.. But I wonder if their hearing isn't as easily injured.
So this is a question for those who absolutely MUST wear good hearing protection. How effective is the Stilo? An alternative? A good addition to plugs?

Make sure you don't have a cell phone near the chatterbox either. That can cause interference as well.

It's not as good as molded ear plugs
I have stilo and am going to switch to molded ear plugs...
My ears ring with stilo too much
