Terrible news, this was apparently a horrendous wreck, and Edwards (son of former F1 Driver Guy Edwards) was a passenger. No indication of the cause as yet.
Very sad.

I started following Sean's career after some of his posts here, and I agree...he was willing to share so much with the Porsche racing community at all levels. you really got a sense of his enthusiasm for the sport in how he interacted with other racers and fans, both online and in person.

what a massive, tragic, unfair loss.

This sucks. Godspeed my friend.

I say this all the time, instructors are my idols, jumping into a car where you have no control over the situation because you are looking to help someone. God bless you all, even if i was able to instruct i dont think i could.

Here is a very touching article by Chris Harris about Sean and just how talented he was. This got me a little misty.

http://www.pistonheads.com/news/defa...?storyId=28664

I had met him. I had talked to him. I have been in awe of him the last few years.

There are guys with talent and there are those on a complete different level. That is how I described Sean to folks that had not heard of him.

Certainly a great video.

This one in particular was my favorite. Kevin Estre chasing Sean at the Nurburgring. Sean bobbled and Kevin got around, but the battle leading up to it is awesome.

So sad.....

I'm surprised that his racing contract permits in car coaching considering the incredible risk.
