The E car looks like it is hurt pretty bad. Wheel probably stuffed the half shaft into the transmission. Banana arm, drop link, anti-sway bar, trans and engine carriage mounts, etc.......
As for passenger seat and emergency egress - fogettabout it. Much more in the "spirit" of club racing is mandating a non-FIA approved, $600.00 Porsche Motorsport seat slider.
GT3 driver sounds like he needs a 26/26. 13 may not be enough. More money than talent or good judgement.

Said idiot was at Road America in K class and though the only K car running, he was at least 6 seconds off the pace (in my limited experience K and L cars run same lap times where ever I go - I have both K and L and my own lap times are always same at Sebring, VIR, WGI, Road Atlanta, Road America, SP, NJMP).
This tells me he is slow which usually means either really old or really new to all of this or just a bad driver.

Add tub to the list. The GT3 was going straight at the E car's back end at what had to be 70-80mph or more. That E car is totally fecked up.

RA K record 2:32.x, E Stock record 2:34.x
Brainard K record 1:47.x, E Stock record 1:48.x
Not impressed... especially on a high speed track like RA.. not familiar with Brainard.

PCA is doing what it can and he did get a 13 when he hit me. But his other two hits I know about where in non-PCA events, so they don't know about them unless we tell them and alert them to the problem.
Beyond that, we as racers need to speak with him and let him know we don't appreciate or tolerate his driving. Peer pressure will do more to correct him or force him out than anything else.

Hitting someone like that at a TnT is lunacy. The drivers meeting before this session specifically told everyone to drive to DE rules and save it for Sunday, point bys only on straights, people were black flagged for race passes...and still this guy shot the gap.

How are the damage losses handled? Each racer on their own? Guy at fault pays, if honorable?

Yeah, he was #1 out of 1. No one runs in K class! His 2:39.1 at COTA is god awful slow for a GT3. And his 2:32.1 at Road America the same. For perspective I'm 5 seconds faster in my 996 at the latter. Slow and reckless is no way to go through life.

You go on the track, you are on your own. Never expect the other guy to pay one cent and you won't be disappointed. The one time I was whacked the gentleman insisted over and over to help, I finally relented and let him purchase a bumper, which was about 20% of my final repair cost. I have 0 hard feelings, nor would I have if he offered nothing! He is a great guy, good racer, and obviously didn't do it purposefully.
