Default Peter Argetsinger as a coach at the WGI......

for one session on Monday (possibly more if it goes well)

How to best maximize the session (and the learning)?

Let him drive to check out the car (and get data) , or let him be the critic from the passenger seat?

Any input, (especially from those who worked with him before) would be deeply appreciated.....

let him drive you for two laps. you'd be amazed how much you can learn about proper lines being in the passenger seat. then let him drive a lap to ensure the setup of the car without the weight in the passenger seat area.

When I hired a coach last year. I had him drive the car first to check setup and lay down a couple of benchmark laps. The experience was worth 2.5 sec at that track.
I suspect he will probably only need 3-4 laps to know the what and wheres of your car. Make sure you get data and video for later.
Enjoy.

Work with him for the first part of the session, and then him drive your car for the last 2-3 laps so you will have data and video to compare. Even if it's wet out, you will learn alot about how to drive WGI. There are sessions available on Tuesday.

I've been with Peter two times. Great guy and coach. He KNOWS the Glen: his family name is on a road sign and of course the grandstands overlooking the esses!

He got me to take the inside line in the carousel and the shallow line entering the bus stop. He also identified a serious problem with the rear axle on the Atom on its first day.

Just be sure you actually get Peter... if he can't make it get your $$ back, don't accept a Skip Barber fill in!

Yup. Anyone who really knows the Glen will suggest these things. He is one of very few who really know the Glen...

Paolo...you are getting Peter....

He's with us at most of our CVR Glen dates for the past couple of years

I've worked with him both at the Glen and at Sebring...he's one of the great ones

My 2 experiences with Peter - really wonderful.
The 1 hour started with a chat, then he drove 6 or so laps, then I did another 6.
Also - not only get the video but if you can, the intercom feed (I have an I/O Port device that allows me to feed the com into the SmartyCam.
Have fun!
