Ha! VR, very true.

I think there is some element of speed/perception at work as well. While in my DE days we were taught to be smooth which works for you as you get faster for sure. My best example is at Summit Point we have T6 and we were always taught to turn in and if we have the turn right we shouldn't have to move the wheel to hold a steady arc on line. That's great at 50 mph Inputs may look "rough" the faster you go because the inputs need to be commensurate with your speed. So a few quick steering corrections at 60 mph may look much different at 80 mph or in my case 141.

I would think rough handling would degrade the tires faster and thus end up slower in the end......
but I am not experienced like you all......
so it is just a wild guess.....

It's not your input, it's the car's reaction to your input that matters.

There’s a time to be smooth and a time to be rough. The best drivers learn to be both.

Some of the best rain drivers are insanely smooth in the rain and might be what you call rough in the dry. A great driver is always exploring the limit of adhesion without upsetting the car enough to limit adhesion. That's part of the art of racing

I had the pleasure of riding with Randy Pobst at Portland International during his tenure with Champion Audi. He drove my Subaru showing me proper lines for an AWD car. He was super smooth and very quick upon getting out said "don't try this at home, I'm a professional"

Class act.

When you'll be able to drive properly, you'll be able to comment my driving. When you'll have all the informations, you'll also be able to comment my driving . When you'll be able to pass 20 cars in 10 laps in the rain with a car that has a problem, come see me.

Maybe you forgot to mention that I regularly beat, when racing in the dry and in the rain, the guy who beat JF in that rain race. I think you also forgot to mention that I was a full 2 seconds ahead of him in the dry. So maybe if you think a bit, you would have realized that I may have had a problem in that particular race and that you should have refrain from posting things like that.

Oh no, that's right, you're not able to think

For the moment you should just shut the f$$k up a$$h&?%.

I see that you are still a gentleman behind your desktop.

Sorry if you took it personal. Didn't want to comment your driving really... I just find damn FUNNY that you compare yourself to a pro who won Daytona 24H twice !

BTW he also happened to finish in front of you for ALL 3 races that weekend even though he was on corded tires... you must had a lot of issues with your car
