Default Help with Bridgehampton Race Info 1994-5

I am looking for racers who were at the Bridge in the nineties so that I can write an article. I hate to admit I was there for age purposes, but it really was the best track of any.

Some of the items I am looking for with information could be a program, results sheets, photos, announcements, or Club Racing News.

I went to the PCA archive on club racing at HQ, and not many Club Racing Newsletters were in there. So if anyone has old CRNs from the 1990s, let me know (or results sheets or programs). It would be nice to improve the archive. More than that, it would be nice to remember some of the racers who are not with us anymore and Michael Melton through the archive.

E-mail me at esscape26@hotmail.com.

Try the Bridgehampton Historical Society as they should be able to help/

They are sponsoring a vintage car rally on Saturday. October 5 and there is always a display there of paraphernalia from the Bridge. Last year, they even had two previous race winners there. I will again be participating this year.

I was very active at the Bridge in its last 10-15 years of operation, with Hot Shoe Racing and as a spectator. There is a book that chronicles its history in great detail, i'm not sure but can check what point it goes up to, if you don't have it. I'm not even sure if there was ever a PCA Club Race there.
I'd also suggest that you contact Guy Frost.
I'd be espceically especially interested to see your work.

PCA races were held from 1993-95. I used to visit with Guy up there; I had the group's logo on my car. Thanks for the tips but none of that is PCA specific, but please look in anything you have. I will email Ron.

Celebrating the loss would make me ill, so I have never gone to any of those events since they bulldozed the track under and now charge 750K to play golf. The owner Rubin makes me mad, even this many years later.

PS>I took a piece of driftwood as a souvenir and everyone up there yelled at me about it... I should take if off my coffee table and put that on display up there.....

I have a bunch of photos taken at the grid and paddock when I was there as a spectator at a PCA race around 93-94.

Circa 1994. This picture is taken (of me) in my old Targa from the Bridge on the front straight. Oh...the good old days when the tires were R1s and Hoosier's weren't even out yet.... And who could forget "the beast" - D. Howe's franken944. Wonder how that car would stack up today.

I have lots of pics from the Bridge, but not many organized events. I used to rent the place myself with a bunch of guys and just lap all day. I was there recently on my bicycle, the front straight remains. And don't blame Bob Rubin; he really wanted to keep the place, he has a car collection, but the town made it unworkable.

Love it Roket!
Love all things Bridge.
Even the requisite deer crossing!
Why a sore subject?

Ahhh, the Beast. That car was really something else. I'm sure he'd still do well today in that thing. I did a DE at the 'Bridge around '93 and Dick was there. I remember taking a ride with one of the red group drivers, and Dick lapped us in a 20 minute session
