"Spring Is A Long Time Coming"...
If you live in NE, the title says it all..! So, to wrap up this years Driver Education Program, the North Country Region's last event is scheduled for October 10th and 11th at NHMS - and, here are a few details...
We still have a couple of openings in the Green, White and Black run groups (Yellow & Blue are pretty full.. )
If you are an Instructor - we'd like to invite you as well..! While the Chief Instructor is sort of a jerk, I'm certain he'll let you in...??!!!
The is a banquet on the evening of the 10th at the Loudon Country Club - (not a black tie affair or anything - but, shirts and shoes are required ) The cost is $35 per person and the menu includes:
Appetizer - Chilled Shrimp and Cocktail Sauce
Entree - Either
Prime Rib of Beef or
Baked Stuffed Chicken
Sides - Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes
Seasonal Vegetable
Tossed Salad and Dinner Rolls
Dessert - Ice Cream with Toscanini's Hot Fudge Sauce
Anyway - as an aside - I have contact Ms. Mother Nature, and she promises to try to deliver sunny days with the temps in the mid-70's on both days. In celebration of that - she is also extending the daylight hours by an extra 15 - 20 minutes... (One or all of these statements in this paragraph may not be 100% accurate, but - we'll see )
Post in this thread if you are planning to come! And for those who would like to attend, you can register here:

Hope to see you there!

I want to give a big thanks to all the NCR/NER volunteers who put on a great two day event. The weather held out both days and the Thursday night dinner was great. Now begins the long countdown till spring...

Great! We missed you out there this summer.
My season had its ups and downs. It started last April with car trouble at NHMS (coolant hose blown off) and ended last week at NHMS with more car trouble (brake problems). The in between part was good.

Irene and I only made Limerock this year with NCR. We miss all of our friends.
I'll make an effort next year to at least come and instruct a few events and drink some beer.
