Don't piss off Mike Skeen's GF

Streak, are you in tune with this series, because I'm not? I read that Skeen was a one off for this last race and Papis filled in for Tony Stewart at the Glen in the Sprint Cup. Obviously both are hired guns for the road courses, not sure of any oval work.... I'm assuming Iowa is a roundy round and that's why they aren't on the bill? Too bad.
I could be wrong but it seems that the 3 levels of NASCAR get more attention for their road course races than the ovals. They need to turn right more often.

+1.
With the exception of the bunch-up FCY I mentioned earlier and the theatrics, this was quite an event. I would love to see more drivers of their calibre in big series on road courses, no matter what the name of the series.

The Sonoma round of Pirelli World Challenge aired this weekend, even though it occurred a week before all this truck business. Can anyone explain what happened with Mike Skeen there? He was black flagged for avoidable contact, stayed out, and eventually they stopped scoring him. $1000 fine and 20 driver points for the contact, $10,000 fine and loss of 9 positions for Failure to Obey the Chief Steward
The race is here: http://www.world-challengetv.com/#/races/834
The GT/GTS race starts 27:00 in, the replay of the contact is at 31:00.
Edit: Here's in-car from the Corvette, more context than the TV broadcast

Maybe his charming Sugar Ray Leonard wannabe girlfriend was on the radio screaming at him, "If you come in on this black flag I'll break your jaw".

That wasn't the one, but shows something interesting and worthy of discussion.
In this incident, he got into the Audi twice... Sort of like Briscoe with Cosmo at Lime Rock.
There is a split second when every driver has the choice between backing off and letting the guy get straight or just keep on driving through him... Mike (and Ryan) made the wrong decisions, at that moment.
