Default Bendpak Lift Wiring

Im looking at purchasing a Bendpak XPR-10 2 post lift for a new garage that Im building. The question I have is how have others handled the wiring to the lift. Is it best to route it along the ceiling and down or is it better to have it route through the floor? I've never installed one and can't seem to find the info where it lets me know which is best.

Any thoughts from the brain trust?

Thanks
Brian

If I had to run the wire, I would go overhead for safety. Running it through conduit, mounted to the ceiling, would be my choice.

Thanks for the pics. How high did you end up making your ceiling and which lift did you go with? My ceiling will be 12'8" and the lift calls for 12' so just want to make sure the height is all good

That's plenty. My ceiling is 12'4".

The lift is a FORWARD DP10AN.

I ran my line to make access via the ceiling directly above the motor. My ceiling is 12 ft.

We run them down from the ceiling in our shop using conduit. May as well do it right!

I have a XPR10A and ran the wiring through the ceiling. I wanted some cushion so had the ceiling built to 13ft.
