I'll be there in my Honda Civic; if the car is running properly, I expect a lap in the 2:05 or lower range (I'm cursed so far at VIR in the Civic; it has broken down every time, literally before turning a hot lap). hopefully will break the curse this year!!!

Kool. I intend to be there for UTCC only...
2:05 would be epic for the Civic Todd!
Other than a quick few sessions I hope to run this Sunday at Pocono to shake out the rust and test a million changes in the car, UTCC will be my first outing so I'll probably be slower :-/. I just hope the new aero package holds together and the few engine upgrades work problem free...

Reports:
Oil. On the track or on fire was the name of the game.
Victor Seaber ran a 1:49 to beat Max Papis by 4 seconds. REALLY toasty out there kept things a bit slow.
Victor probably could have wrung a bit more out of it even but it was a customer car and pushing full aero at some of the spots wasn't worth it I bet.
Some fine cars out there. Best combo was the Jeep Grand Cherokee chasing down the Subaru Forester XT.

ya it was really really hot out there. Pablo did great and ran a low 2:10 on old tires! my car misbehaved the entire time, overheating nearly immediately (I could make half a lap before the high temp alarm went off at 230 degrees, and then limping the rest of the lap to get a laptime). managed a way-off-pace time of 2:12.1. we are not sure where the problem lies; brand new huge aluminum radiator in the car; brand new thermostat and waterpump. upper and lower hoses were blazing hot (as was the radiator!). fans are turning the correct direction. leak down shows no problems. no air in system (we rebled it at the track just to be sure). something's not right though -- never had this problem with the 2 liter motor. hopefully will have it sorted out by the next event in the fall. (fastest FWD was Doug Wind in a SRT-4 Dodge with a mid 2:05 -- really really fast!)
one good thing was that I put the car back on the trailer in the same working condition that it came off in the morning; a bunch of guys blew up (and/or caught fire) in spectacular fashion yesterday.
