Glen, IMHO you really need a deep cycle battery so you're unlikely to find something light and small (unless someone here has found one). Could store in the rear for travel? Ugh, that sounds bad.

I many cases power for the wench can be sourced from one of the pins on the trailer plug. This uses the vehicle's battery/ies.

You really did get the car on efficiently. Very few moves. I actually was surprised by the clutch smell too.

It was a fun weekend and a pleasure to meet you. We had fun parked next to you.
