Default Rubber ties to hold shoulder belts up?

Can someone point me in the right direction to find the rubber material guys use to tie the shoulder belts to the roll cage, thus keeping them up and accessible when belting in? Seen several cars set up with this- looks simple and effective.

Get a bunch. It degrades pretty quickly with UV exposure and doesn't last a full season.

Is this necessary or even desirable in an environment where changing drivers quickly is not an issue?

I like to hit what I aim at, so 12 gauge.

Can you explain it to me? It seems like a lot of hassle for what, a 30 second gain?

I can see it for quick endurance racing driver changes, but for a sprint race with no driver change?

^ Scott, it's just nice to avoid sitting on your left shoulder belt and/or have to reach around to grab 'em. Makes in and out just a wee bit easier. Wait, that sounds bad.

No but it's very nice to have. I particularly like it on the lap belts as I never have to get in and realize I'm sitting on the damn belts.

Home Depot sells latex tubing that works fine.

Matt,

At some point after I get out the car, I come back to it and loosen the belts as required. I drape the lap belts over the sides and I drape the shoulder belts over the ears of the halo seat. When I climb in, all the belts are easy to get to...

And then I climb in and my fat *** drags one or the other lap belt into the seat where is firmly lodged between said *** and said seat. With the tubing this doesn't happen.

I get it. Try the tubing. One less thing to worry about. Unless you have incurable OCD.

Exactly. Not that your *** is fat.

That's what I'm doing, but I saw this and it looked pretty easy. Plus I would guess you don't have to worry about a twisted shoulder belt.
