As a follow up to the OP's request for suggestions for a driving coach, I am also interested. My son and I go to AMP often and I'd like to get some professional instruction. Any suggestions for a coach in the Atlanta area? If they're familiar with the AIM SOLO, so much the better.
We're both running 1:38-1:39 in an e36 M3 and a 944 S2 (about the same times in each car) - but I don't see getting much faster without help.

It's a 98 db limit. Seems that some pretty loud cars have passed, but not sure about cups specifically. My S2 has a Lexus-like 66 db. Gotta do something about that.....

Ran it last weekend at VIR and was happy. GF said it was not nearly as loud as the vintage racers, but she coud tell when I was coming up the backstraight.
My instructor at AMP was driving a 2007 GT3, which I guess has some kind of cut-out at 4000 rpm? He was not happy about being told to short shift or not run anymore.
