Harness

I have used both G Force and Shroth Hans compatible belts. If using a Hans, the 2" upper belts are nice.
No 4 point harness though, don't think that's even legal for PCA DEs.

x2 that 4 points aren't allowed with PCA, or many other DE/racing programs either. Some use for autox, with OEM seats.
With PCA, remember both people in car must be similarly restrained. AFAIK, 2" shoulder belts must be used with a HANS, whereas 3" can be HANS or not. I would recommend that passenger side be 3" for more flexibility. Driver side is up to driver.

Schroth Profi III (IIRC) 6 pt. pull up. I like the little bar they put on the end of the adjustments...
g-force is fine.

2" belts are safe HANS or not. The original spec on 3" was becuase they couldn't make belts strong enough if they were any narrower. That is not the case anymore.

......Not true on both points. PCA allows 4 points if they are vehicle specific. Scroth makes some, but I believe most of the fitments are BMW. If I remember right, I just saw some for newer Porsches.

Interesting about the 4 point belts....they apparently tie into the car's existing seat belt buckle, and make use of the automatic retracting feature of newer cars. Fascinatingly simple...if your car is properly equipped.

I have Schroth profi 2 HANS harnesses on the driver's side and non-HANS on the passenger side. I particularly like the cam lock buckle - it's very easy to get off if you need to get out in a hurry!
Also, I find the cam-lock buckle easier to put on than the traditional latch buckles because it's more intuitive to me (which helps when I can't look down to see what I'm doing with the HANS on).

Consider comfort in choosing a 5 or 6 point. Marc likes 6, I like 5. Figure it out.
G-Force is a fraction of the price of the others. Same webbing and same inane replacement interval. You have limited choices in pull direction and the attaching hardware isn't as elegant. Such are the sacrifices when outfitting 3 cars.
THIS IS FOR DE guys. And yes, nine point belts are strongly preferred over 5, 6, 7, 8. If they made a 20-point we'd argue for that.

I used to believe in neck collars, but have since moved away from them if using a harness. With a harness holding the body in place, the collar can become an inconvenient fulcrum for the neck in certain crash situations/angles. However, some people claim to like the collar as a "helper" to support the weight of the head/helmet upright, even with a HANS.
