+1 Would like to see more/better pics. Aero looks smoother than previous iterations.

Man that livery is boring. Doesn't look anywhere near as aggressive as 997 either.

Sounds like none will hit the US until next year even if you have the $800k

I don't get it. 50th anniversary related?

Looks cool (although nothing's cool in those circles unless it's fast) but niching really extraordinary and not very badass IMO, especially on the side. Looks more "slick" rather than mean like some race cars do.

But like I said, all that matters if it's fast.

No dive planes. Much have designed it to work without (or new rules don't allow them?).

I find it interesting how nearly every time Porsche does something new, there is an significant negative buzz from the Porsche crowd. Probably the best example is the Cayenne. When it came out everyone was up at arms about Porsche making an SUV. Now look how many we see as tow vehicles. Everyone hated the Panamera, and many still do, but based on how many I see on the road, the general public is lapping them up. That money helps finance the high performance cars we all love so much.

Seems like this same attitude carries over into a lot of peoples perspective on Porsche Motorsports. Oh, and wrt the livery, as far as I'm concerned they can paint the thing like a pink pig if it wins races. Oh, wait, that's been done.

Looks good, IMHO, except for the front and rear bumper covers...especially the rear...did Porsche forget to finish it?

It will look OK racing though...people will just assume part of the rear bumper cover was torn off in an accident.

Finish the bumper covers? They look finished. Does the black bother you?

I guess the side profile looks best. I just think if they are honoring the car that put them on the map they could have come up with better livery than that. Troy Lee always had amazing livery on the 997 Le Mans RSRs and that was just for one race. I would think Porsche is paying their graphic designers pretty well. I mean the car is basically 90% of what color it is delivered in. I sound like I should be judging concours.. sorry. I hope it performs better then it looks!
