Default A Report: Ran NT-01 front/NT-555RII rear on 997.2 C2S

On NOLA 2.75 mile couse. It is a relatively fast track with some high speed turns and sweepers.
Am trying out different tires, since since everyone blasts R888's so much. I thought the R888's were pretty good, myself.
The NT01 245/40/18's up front were good.
The NT555RII 305/35/18's in rear were slippery. They did not throw any codes, and were not expected to, since they are correct O.D.'s with the fronts. But, they were slippery. I kept lowering the pressures trying to get some grip, and that did help, but overall, they were just slippery.
Oh well, that just gives me an excuse to really abuse these rears and trash them, just to get rid of them.
Next experiment, my friend has an '07 GT3 with Nitto 01's front 245/40/18 and 305/30/18 rears. I'm going to track his wheels and see if they throw codes or trigger limp mode. I can't wait to try this out, because I really want to see how NT01's do on the rear of my car.
If this does not work, I can be happy with the R888's.

I run NT01s in those sizes on my '06 997. No codes, no lights, no ABS freak-out. Several other people have too with no drama despite the lower outer circumference on the rears. I had one set of R888's in proper sizes and ratios, and trashed those early. I much prefer the NT01s and am on my second set.

Good information. Thanks for replying.
As I said, I can't wait to try these out. I hope they work as good on my car as they do on your car.

I went for the same setup as acao after he vouched for it. I am running the NT01s front and rear on my 997.2 C2S with good results. Huge grip in the rear, of course (and the front is pretty great too).

Edit: I misread the above -- my rear size is 315/30/18 and front is 245/40/18

Ran NT01s on my 997.2 S for years with no issues: 245/40/18 F and 315/30/18 R. Great tire.

315/30-18 i think. I dint think 305 is available in NT01. Same endorsement applies.

Yes, my mistake, and I've done it before, too. They're 315/30/18. I'm gonna say it till I get it, 315,315,315,315,315,315,...............
