That looks like a bargain considering decent '86 street 3.2s are starting to change hands for that same sort of money. It's going to cost you $15-20K just to get into a rough builder before you even start the racecar conversion.

I've been a passenger in this car before (Eric was one of my first instructors). And I've been wheel to wheel with him many many times over the last several years. I'm sorry he's moving on.

Great car.
Great owner.
Hopefully it will find a good home.

Just had Terry Heath do a valve adjustment (and replaced the passenger side camshaft tensioner oil feed line, had a minor leak). He did compression/leak-down and got the following:
#1 – 165psi,3%
#2 – 160psi,5%
#3 – 160psi,4%
#4 – 160psi,5%
#5 – 155psi,12%
#6 – 160psi,7%
And he did not see any evidence on the plugs that the engine is burning oil.

It should be fast running that "cheater" bump steer kit. Never understood why they're not legal since the kit is more of a safety item - keeping the car more stable over - well, bumps. Not exactly up there with geared trannys and ported heads.

Nice car!

Thanks for making light of that.
I think what your referring to is - “PREPARED” CARS - 2.B. Spacers to adjust the height of the tie rod end at the steering arm are allowed. This is NOT the bump steer modification to this car. The photos in the classified post clearly show the tie rod ball joint/steering arm.
This car has the steering rack raised with spacers 'bump steer kit'. "STOCK CARS -Classes A thru L - 2.B. Spacers to adjust the height of the steering rack and pinion are allowed."
The car was inspected by scruts at an event soon after the fiasco at Sebring a few years ago and was given the all clear.

It has been a great car to me. I'm sorry to see it go, but I need room in the garage for a family friendly toy right now.
