According to the morpca website, they allow motorcycle helmets that meet 2005 or 2010 standards. This is pretty common with most PCA events. Over the long haul you will probably want to buy an auto racing helmet, but I would just Hise the motorcycle helmet for this event.

Ted:
We rent helmets at OG Racing. If after your first DE you decide you are hooked and want to purchase your own, the rental fee will be applied to the purchase price. If we can be of assistance, please give us a call at 800-934-9112.
Kind regards,

Did my first "real" DE in the US in my own car this weekend at Cresson MSR. What a blast and what a great job TDE does in organizing.
The only thing you may regret is the realization that you're now hooked and the impact that will have on your future cashflows.
Enjoy.

God isn't that the truth. I started 7 years ago and would be embarrassed to say how much I've spent. Started club racing last year and am now spending even more!

You don't need numbers. They are provided.
Nice car for your first run. I remember my first trip. Haha. I had no clue. Still don't but I'm a better driver now

How much is it anyway?
Note to self: Check on Swiss account.............
Check............with OSU umbrella
X 1 million
I'm blonde................
All the above.
Add in no particular order:
1) A good nights sleep (yeah right, after 4 years of tracking I am still too excited for that to happen).
2) Good attitude.
3) Listen, absorb, and practice what your instructor says.
4) Great place to make new friends.
5) Get advice from others on how to spend your money in future
6) Sensory overload.
7) Drive home and wake up in the morning with a stupid grin that will not go away for sometime.
8) Plan you next track day way in advance.
9) Get a credit card that your wife does not know about.
10) ***HAVE FUN***

Is there any other way

I just did my second DE and all I keep thinking is.... why did I wait so long?
Both of my events have been with the local PCA and it is well run and just a great time.
I've made some friends and feel that my driving has really improved. Just take it at your own pace and don't try and do anything you're not comfortable with. You'll get there in your own time.
Be cool and let people pass. I didn't get any extra insurance because everyone I spoke with seemed to think it wasn't necessary.
