Gotta love the car control at the limit! His pass on a 904 around 1:28 in the video made the hair stand on the back of my neck

The steering wheel movement looks pretty funky ... either he's drifting the car all over the track or he's got major steering issues

Cheers !

No steering issues I can see. That guy can drive. He is inducing oversteer for speed through the corners. The car acted like it has serious horsepower. Can't believe the old trans takes that kind of use.
Considering he wasn't racing and the type of cars on the track, I think he was pushing too hard, but I think he really knows his limits and was not hitting them.

Search for Walter Rohl videos. Find some of him driving old 911s and you will see the same type of action. It looks like the front wheels aren't really doing anything through the turns. He points the rear and truly goes 'Flat Out'.

Keep in mind he was also running bias ply tires, when combined with the SWB, it makes for a handful when driven at pace - but he's a terrific driver.

^^This^^

The chassis balance with the FIA Historic mandated M-section Dunlop bias-ply's makes the car "tun by itself" after initial steering input. Pascal is a master at these cars, on these tires. He is driving ahead of the car, not behind it...

always nice to see a 911 driver getting his money's worth out of the steering rack
