Who, Me? I never said she was/is a horrible person, but let's not be naive either.
Let's see how she does this year. Like I said, the new car is a bit of an equalizer, so she'll have the best opportunity to prove herself. If she continues to improve I'll give her credit. To me, this is not a gender issue. It is a case of proving oneself. When she came out of Atlantics, there were opportunities galore. Jon Fogarty, a 2 time Atantic Champ, not so much.
One thing: I wouldn't call her a trailblazer either. Janet Guthrie, Lyn St. James, Desiree Wilson, Shirley Muldowney, Michele Mouton were the trailblazers for women in racing.

Yep. IIRC, the story on that picture is that the boy saw her and called out her name. She saw him, and invited him to come over. The kid and his father were behind the ropes, and the dad said something like "he's not allowed past the ropes", and she said send him over, I don't care if it's not allowed.

re : Dale Jr.
You probably wouldn't be a good novel writer if you want them to give Dale Jr the call right now. Better if he struggles for a while, while still having massive fan support. Then just when it's needed, Jr will start dominating. Check back in a few years.

Nobody that I have seen in this forum has said that Danika is a horrible person, ****ty attitude and personality, yes. Her winning one race in a seven year professional racing carrer is a very poor percentage for the media hype she recieves. You have a hardon for the woman, I get that, but what do you have invested in her that you think she is so mistreated? She is no consistent race winner or series champion. I will agree that she is a marketing and media winner.

Wake me up at the end of the season and let me know where she finishes in the final standings. Then the debate will end, one way or the other.
She hasn't changed her personality since karts.
