Default Ice Driving Schools

I'm wondering if anyone has recent firsthand experience at one of the many in Sweden, Norway and Finland? Some friends are thinking of putting together a trip in winter 2014 and I said that I would see if there are opinions to be had.

Thank you,

Michael

Simple answer - Audi in Finland. There is no point unless you get to drive at real speed.

Ice driving school?

Never attended any organized events but have done plenty of ice driving on frozen lakes & sea, great to practice when you have acres of empty ice around!

And then you can finish off with some ice fishing or if brave enough, ice swimming...

Hi

There are (3) different ice racing groups in upstate New York

so depend on your schedule and the condition of the ICE you might be able to race on a weekend without traveling so far

not sure of other groups but we work with newbies to insure they come back ...

We have had people drive up after working in NYC to see what is happening and they had a great time

There are also schools at two ski areas that I know of, both in France. One at Three Valleys in Val Thorens and the other is in Alpe D'huez. The tracks are at ~ 8-9000 ft so they're always frozen.

Porsche Camp 4 at Mecaglisse north of Montreal. Also regular sessions at Mecaglisse and you bring your own car as opposed to the Porsche school.

Porsche's Camp 4 in Rovaniemi and advanced ones (up to Ice Force S) in Saariselkä. I attended Ice Force two years ago, very good.

Then there's this.
