Maybe the flagger was still in hibernation......... but I am glad it turned out OK for all involved......

BTW, thanks for the tips on the uphill and downhill, although a bit scary at first, they did make a big difference in the overall time..........

I saw that too. Looks like he showed it to a few people yesterday.

Good to meet you too Gary. I was slow even for five cylinders.

Glad to hear it bud, track was pretty fast and HVR puts on a great event. I was wiped by the time the open track session ran, 1st day on track after 6 months took its toll!

Told you stock brakes were more than adequate!

Check this out, I hit an oil slick (want to blame a 944 but I believe it was a 996 water pumper) perfectly and catch where the flagger is looking.. Into the woods!!
https://vimeo.com/63777426

And I thought I would be a contender... guess who!

Nope....... no warning flag for you......

Although the video clearly shows that you have good driving skills........ even driving backwards......

As far as the pic, it was taken during my first day as Green student..........
it has taken me a while to move up to black........

My friend, I think that is the coolest picture ever taken and I only wish it was of me.

That was a really laid back DE with lots of track time. I stayed out till the track was closed. Surprised there were not more club racers getting practice. Hope HVR can do it again next year.

I liked the instructor's driver's meeting -

"Ok, passing where it's straight with a signal, that's about it, go have fun"..
