COTA - "Not interested in allowing HPDE or amatuer racing events..."

Not only that but the only reason a dedicated clubracer like me would even think of dragging my racecar 20 hours to COTA is because of F1. But that's fine there are many other great tracks for me to race on in this country. COTA does not get it. First rule of marketing sell when the customer "wants" it. When COTA is a failing enterprise looking for a new investor group to buy out the failures COTA will be looking to expand their market into clubracing and guys like me will say...I don't think so. That enthusiasm has sailed.

it's "strike when the iron is hot" not "**** off the core audience when the iron is hot".

Sounds like they didn't have their plan together and had no idea what the actual use would look like, started filling the calendar before they packaged the bigger deals to groups with deep pockets or ongoing users and locked out some bigger fish. After the ****storm pretty obvious that that tactic was a non starter... But you can guess that in the future clubs will get the scraps on the schedule...

Just like every other track that is a "destination."

SCCA had 2 daytona dates when no other clubs could because of the workers at the 24hrs and paul Revere /(Brumos 250)
I'd bet 90% of those paid COTA workers are SCCA Divisional or National Flag and Comm licensed.
if they boycotted they would have a problem. FIA wants a ton of workers.
some European's might fly in... but it would still be tight.

Is Mark's date sold out? Can anyone point me to registration?
Given this waffling, I am feeling like I should sign up and run in the slow group just to get on track
