does anyone use the black line as a reference point for braking and turn-in?

fwiw, that horizontal cement strip is a low spot, there is a drain somewhere.

If you ever get the chance walk that turn. eye opening!

The total is much better than guessing point of WOT because a) we don't have that info on some videos and b) it all works out by the end point! If WOT is sooner, the second split of the total segment will be better.

Rad 2011 Winterfest FIAT 2:21.7 9.3, 15.8
and 2-liter sports car 2:05.4 6.4, 11.5

A LOT can be learned from this study...
Not fair Peter!! that was my first ever event at Sebring with my stiffer than ALMS F430 GT2 Fiat.

March 2012 FIAT 2:16.576 8.44 14.6 (still lots to learn).

My approach to T17 is pretty straight forward, enter slow, stay away from the walls, wait for straight, hit gas. Same technique at T1.

Juan, you KNOW you're absolutely one of the best benchmarks for 2-liter cars!

We'd need to work together sometime to find more time. But with the MoTeC, I have worksheets that would find what you and I need to know to do that.

I'll be at DMTD before PCA with Angus. Perhaps I'll see you on my way out Thursday.

I think Grady (Red Bear) does some fun stuff in t17 - he stays on gas until past corner worker - drives in real deep - then slams brake, turns and hammers it. I am still trying to build up the nerve to do that.

Y'all would be SHOCKED to note the distance between coming away from the left edge of the road on the back straight, apexing the worker and the turn-in point left and deep that allows you to miss the biggest bumps and to go under the bridge, in the right place and on the right heading.

It's amazing! Get's less scary after that.

I'm a big fan of going tight to the corner worker on entry. However, I've noticed that the 2nd corner worker (past the bridge) is better taken 1 car width off the apex. It much smoother track, and I'm able to get back on WOT much earlier.

My least favorite turn in all of Motorsports

Ended up on THE other side of the wall last turn last lap
Not much left of the skippy FF
Would have been 4th straight win in a row.......

Lost a lot of confidence for the next few races
Lost the championship to mr. Tony renna
