% Nomex in typical racing glove
I just bought some Carbon X stuff for XMAS and I noticed that my Bell racing gloves are only 65% NOMEX. Is this correct? Should it be a 100%?

Don't know the answer to your question, but would love to hear about which gloves you like and why.

I got these about a year ago and love them: http://www.sparcousa.com/product/tide-h-9. The grip surface is really nice & tacky w/ my leather steering wheel. Used to have leather on leather with suboptimal results.

I might have worded my statement incorrectly. On any glove with either nomex or carbon x what is the minimal percentage of fire retardant material that should be used?

I would suppose this is referring to the % leather, which is limited to 70% maximum according to FIA Standard 8856-2000:
"The shape of each piece of leather is free inside an area but shall not cover more than 70% of the surface of the area concerned."
I just bought some new gloves from Stand 21, and they have patches of leather on the palm to comply with this rule rather than the full leather palm of my old Simpson gloves.
