Posted with permission from the owner who posted this on Facebook. As he states on the video," my intention is to show the importance of building a safe race car and investing in the finest personel safety equipment available. My vehicle rolled multiple times, was airborne and is totalled, but I walked away from the incident without a single scratch or bruise".
Watch to the end and listen to the safety crew addressing him.....

Damn. Glad he made it out okay.
I'd be interested in seeing what the cage looked like, since the safety guy mentioned it was bent up pretty bad.
Lousy way to end the season but cars are replaceable...

Glad everyone walked away okay!!
Guys remember to let go of the steering wheel when you are going for a ride. The video shows a couple attempts to grab back in out of instinct. Gotta fight that urge and natural reflex

^Pete - that was one of the things I noticed too. Ever since I saw the video last year of Danica Patrick letting go and keeping her arms and hands close to the body during a big shunt, I've watched how driver's react to bad situations such as these. Should I ever be confronte with a situation such as this, I hope I will have the presence of mind to let go of that stupid steering wheel!

I think the phrase (re what to do in a crash) is 'get as small as possible.' Pull feet away from the firewall and hug yourself.
Hell of a lot easier to remember here in the comfort of my office than it would be in a crash.
Really well done video of an ugly crash.
