You on the committee? Our ex-Bay Area BMW guy in Austin gave us the heads up when they scheduled the site tour a few weeks ago. Trying to get a contingent from here to go. Sadly, I've now booked our week in Phoenix to coincide.

Like the thread title says: BMW Club
"The event will feature a DE, club race, autocross, and car show, among other activities..
Entries will be handled as follows for both drivers and instructors..
1- initial notification to Current LSC, Houston, or Tejas BMW CCA instructors that have attended an event *recently* with these chapters.
2- notification to all active BMW CCA members of the three chapters listed above
3- registration will then be opened to other BMW CCA members across the US
4- if spots remain, registration will open to non BMW CCA members
For DE students- an active BMW CCA membership is REQUIRED.
While an active BMW CCA membership is not required for instructors - it is strongly recommended."

You dont need to own a BMW to join BMWCCA (like PCA does)
I know BMW Club Races allow for out of BMWCCA classing (ie. GTS), but not sure if they let P-cars race. Never seen it before. Im sure the race is going to be pretty packed too. I wanna make the trek along w/ a bunch of other BMW GTS guys from Mid-Atlantic.

IIRC, the BMW club has allowed Porsches in their club races in Texas, primarily because they typically do not have a large turn-out down here. I suspect they will have many more cars coming to COTA than they usually have at Texas tracks.

I didn't think it would. The back straight is something like 3/4 of a mile. I imagine some modern street cars could get way up there in speed and chew through their brakes pretty easily if it were to remain full track.
