Looks like Ferrari has found a potential gearbox problem with Massa. Coincidentally, if they make the change Alonso moves up one position and to the clean side of the grid.

I agree... Let's see if karma bites and Alonso ends up crashing because he's in different side...

Why on earth would Vettel go to Ferrari ? If they can't build a car capable of beating Vettel in a Newey car head-to-head with a driver of ALonso's calibre, what would he stand to gain ? Money (i.e. salary) ? Lewis may be stupid enough to leave a sure thing for a bigger salary, but I don't think Vettel's that stupid.

The only way I see that happening is if Ferrari managed to lure Newey as well, but I believe this will be Adrian's last gig.

During Speeds coverage they reported they didn't touch Massa's transmission, they just cut off the FIA inspection tag which effectively knocked Massa back.

Good race by Lewis. Nice to see his car last for a race distance.

F*CK Red BUll and Christian Horner bitching about it on the grid. It was within the rules, every team should use the rules to their maxiumum (like Red Bull's illegal flexing nose and front wing)

F*CK Horner and Vettel for bitching about backmarkers costing them the race. Lewis had Vettel's number and drove a sterling race. Good for Lewis

Nothing is illegal about redbull's nose or wing. Its called being innovative. While fabricating a reason to bump your number one driver up the grid and to the clean side of the track just because it is technically within the rules is not in the spirit of racing. It is shameful and a very sorry way to gain an advantage but one wouldn't expect any less from Ferrari.

Good calls on all accounts, but only one of 2 championships were wrapped up. Now waiting for pics of Kimi to come out tonight.

Good to see Hammy win a final race for McLaren........much change in that team me thinks.

Great racing down the field........all clean fun.............nice job Austin, excellent looking facility.

Now Kimi is off looking for one of those black cowboy hats, preferably with a blonde underneath and a drink in her hand

I disagree. "It's called being innovative." Indeed.

OK, if my math is correct....
Given the new points system:

1st : 25 points
2nd : 18 points
3rd : 15 points
4th : 12 points
5th : 10 points
6th : 8 points
7th : 6 points
8th : 4 points
9th : 2 points
10th : 1 point

and a 5-3 lead in wins (Vettel wins any tie breaker) and a 13 point lead heading into Brazil:

Alonso must finish 3rd (15points) and Vettel must score no more than 1 point (10th)
Alonso must finish 2nd (18points) and Vettel must score no more than
4 points (8th)
Alonso must finish 1st (25 points) and Vettel must score no more than 10 points (5th)
If Alonso does not podium, it doesn't matter where Vettel finishes.

It's in the bag. With all the updates Ferrari is bringing, Massa's gearbox seal failing again if he out qualifies Alonso in Brazil, Luca is guaranteed to have his World Driving Championship for Sauber...I mean Ferrari.
