Flying Lizards not racing Porsche next year?
Just got the Lizards email newsletter and it seemed very much like a farewell to Porsche...has anyone heard anything?

Ditto. Could be 458....would be sad.
Porsche's best move would be to make an unbeatable RSR. Perhaps this represents some data suggesting that they are what previews Seth has had show the cars are going to be even worse. Both of the A (45) drivers are factory, so the whole team will likely be different if they are not Porsche.
Non of the new clothing has the Porsche Motor Sports patch in it any more....my bet is Ferrari. I'd really like someone to do a race tough GT-R too..
Or FL could be racing 918's...

That blows. The writing is on the wall though, nobody at that level wants to just show up - if a car can't compete nobody will run it. Sad that Porsche couldn't have a replacement lined up sooner instead of losing a great team like the Lizards.

And what of the Porsche works drivers? I believe all of them have obligations as factory drivers. So not just a mfgr change you could see drivers going away.
The lizards have really taken a hit as of late, wouldn't surprise me to see Neiman just pick up a smaller driver line and go do a smaller privateer team and spend more time in the seat... Sad.
I'm not sure that Porsche isn't currently building a competitive car it's doing well in Europe/Asia, but with all the shenanigans and ALMS going away wouldn't be surprise at a platform that is more "accepted" in grand AMA view. I'm a but concerned that their view is Porsche has GTC so be happy with that... We shall see...

Well we will see. I spent some time in their shop before Sebring... cool place. They have been at it for a long time and I am sure the travel gets to be taxing at the very least.
I only know a few of the key guys, and I wish them the best no matter what. Heck, perhaps one or several of them will start showing up regularly at PRC events.
