A great fun battle. Coming into this last race of the season at Road America, any one of the top three drivers could finish in any position. Dan had to win both races, I had to win one vs. Dan, and two vs. Neal to seal it up. Neal (KLR), had to win any one, but in a borrowed car (which unfortunately suffered a mechanical). I am in the camera car, Dan is the other competitor in the video, and drives like a man possessed!

Dan, you should post up your video's. Some great action there!
It was a great weekend. A dozen 944's, and a lot of great guys, and Road America is just a special place. It still is amazing to me that I get to race cars at places like this. I never would have dreamed it as a kid watching 962's race 1,000 HP Electromotive Nissans there from turn 5.
. My Porsche may be a little (OK, a lot) less potent, but it's awesome all the same.
The class reached the milestone of being the largest class at the event, bigger than SM, which was cool! Thanks to Neal for all his hard work as our series director!
And to top it off, we have a new travelling trophy for 944 spec MW:
Thanks to Ken Frey for putting it together!

Oh man was that a great race video!
Wish I could have been there.
Next year, I plan to be.
Thanks to Neal for bringing me aboard the 944 spec series and being my mentor.
Thanks to Eric, Linda, Jim and Kelby for being so supportive for my inaugural year of racing.
And thanks to all of those in the MW region that made me feel welcome.
You guys are the best.
Cheers!

Thanks Gary - I had a little racing luck break my way to make that happen - it was the most competitive year yet, but far! It was great to see the racing tighten up with the data sharing & coaching - makes for really great racing! With your rapid progress, you'lll be in the point end of the field very soon.
3 years ago the lap record here was a 2:50. This year, that time would put you in the bottom 1/3 of the pack, and the lap record is down to a 2:42!
Did you get your transmission OK?
