thx for all the input everyone. i'm just going to leave it as awd. the day i disconnected the output shaft to the tt, we had a sudden flash flood (rare). how at that very moment i wished i had awd.

ironically dave, it was your RWD conversion thread that spurred this idea lol.

dave, you're using 275 tires in the front? on the stock 996 turbo wheels? how much negative camber are you running in to prevent rubbing?

A welded in cage helps tighten up the chassis as well. I race my 993 turbo in J class and it has to stay in stock form so I race with AWD. With all of the upgrades I mentioned its very quick and handles very nice. I race mostly against 996 gt3's and the car is very competitive. They both have different strengths and it makes for fun racing.

If you street your car as well I'm sure the cage part is out of the question but the rest of the upgrades are money well spent, although driving on the street with them will be a little bit rougher.

Yes, Hoosier R6 275's up front. Section width is the same as MPSC 265's. Stock fenders on a 993tt. Runs -2.5 up front. Fits fine other than a little rub at full lock and on fender liner.

Wow 275's. Never tried them. I've been running the R6 245's for years. Did you have to roll the fenders? I don't mind rolling mine but currently they aren't.

Thanks Chaos it's a design I started and semi created but Tyler over at censport graphics really made it nice and is very talented guy.

No rolling fenders. They fit. As I said they will rub inside whieel wells a bit on full lock and will rub thru the fender liner over time. But do not touch front quarter panel metal with -2.5 camber.
