Default Seat question

Looking for a new seat with some head protection. Im a big guy, 6'8", 280#. Currently use a Sparco Evo 3 seat, which fits well. Can squeeze into an Evo 2, but its really tight. was looking at the dimensions on the new Sparco Ergo Large online, and it seems like it would work, but can't find one locally to sit in. Anyone have any experience in the fit of this seat compared to the Evo 3? Also, how does the detachable head protection work on that seat?
Thanks

Steve

Sure it does. The rear view picture clearly shows two studs on each side with hex nuts (I'd bet they are nylocs). I'd say it is 99% likely that if you remove the hex nuts and the "ears" come off.....

Pretty sure Sparco USA has a comprehensive sizing chart on the site.

Actually, I know they do.

They used to have it on their website, but the website has been redesigned and I can't find it now. And the old charts that show up on some retailers pages don't have it becAuse it's a new seat

Smile I sat in an ERGO...

...large at SPARCO in Irvine, CA....It like like an Evo 2/Evo3 that they bolted side head bolsters on. I am 6"2" 250 and I can fit in the Ergo...it really looks cheesy...but, for dual purpose cars, you can unbolt the head side bolsters for street driving.

I passed on the ERGO and got a Cobra seat....

If you really want some room, some of the fabrication shops in SoCal have cut out and recessed the drivers side floor pan thus providing head room for big guys.
