What is it? Looks like a Chevy Monza? A friend of mine had a V8 equipped one and it was a rocket ship.

And a successful one, at that. Al Holbert campaigned one very successfully. I think that's Toby Bean or Steve Cohen's car.

Steve Cohen's was the blue and red DeKon, originally owned by Harry T, at the time the owner of Lime Rock Park. That car is out west now.

I think the one you're showing might be the Holbert example, but it changed paint schemes a few times. That Road America one is just over the top, so low it looks like a, dare I say it, Super Modified!

Well, the GT-40 would be my favorite, but if we're picking non-obvious ones:

The DeKon was a Lee Dykstra/Horst Kwech deal.

Pretty interesting story: http://www.transamcars.com/content/200/200history.pdf

I spoke with one of their representatives at Road America during the ALMS event. He seems bullish on it happening, but they were supposed to run this year as a support series and are still soliciting orders for cars. We'll see...

It is a cool car though.
