race car graphics
one issue with a 10 year old race car is that my graphics are 10 years old and faded. I've been looking to replace them, but have no idea how to come up with an idea. I mainly want to keep a similar look/theme, but not have the car look old and faded. Any suggestions on how to go about doing that?
Thanks

You might want to check out the "Cup Car ****" thread. It gave me some good ideas of what's out there...

I would suggest you blue ink. Check out their website and the gallery. I got my vehicle graphics done from them. Its good.

Any good ideas on removing 10 year old decals without screwing up the paint underneath? I bought a trailer and it has big (~2'x3') graphics that are old and sun-faded. The 3M General Adhesive Remover I normally use won't cut it...

I know a guy who did his 944T up like the Lowenbrau Porsches, and it looked fantastic. Was going to do that with mine, only gold instead of navy. Here's what those looked like:
Instead, I went with something much simpler. I saw a white GT3 down at Roebling Road a few years ago, white wiht a single large black stripe, flanked by thin red ones. He also had a matching rocker panel sticker (I left it off). YMMV, but I kind of like the more simple look:

For the guy asking how to remove them - a heat gun.

IMHO you have something in mind. I would get with a local graphic artist and bounce ideas off of them and see what their artistic brain comes up with. Some of the best graphic artist out there are your local sign makers. I would be happy to give you the guy I know he may know some one in your area.
