Sprint Cup is at 8:30am PST

I heard from PL- Lets hope for a good quaifying. There was talk that the team might just do a Start and Pit. If that is the case, we will all be bummed. Probably not as much as PL though. I wanna see him race a full tilt against these guys, in "Hand Me Down Equipment". Keep your fingerscrossed.

My bad. Shows what I know. I didn't realize there is a NNS and Sprint Cup race!

yeah there was some question mid-week about whether or not they had a pit crew and now that they're using their Michigan (oval track) car, start and park might not be such a bad idea still a disappointment.

Pat just qualified, he's guaranteed a starting spot and has to go to the back of the grid anyway for using a backup car, so it was a bit of a formality.

Love to see one of my favorite sporty car drovers kick some NASCAR butt, but I really don't want to see another fall into the malaise that is NASCAR...

Hope he has fun nonetheless...

I'm guessing it's going to be a start and park.

Yep, especially after seeing the attitude of that roundy round back-up car trying to go straight or turn right during qualifying. Seems like a handful and fairly pointless wrestling a car that has no chance at being competitive. Really bummed at the outcome. Hopefully he gets a shot at it again sometime.

lap 12, out of the race

A great experience for Pat but still a disappointing result; hopefully someday he can get with a top level car/team and show what he can really do!

Pat's outcome had nothing to do with his or anyone else's driving.

What a finish!

Gotta say I don't watch much NASCAR but that was an intertaining race to say the least, and the last few laps??? Absolutely crazy!! Have watched road course stuff before sparingly, and they seemed a lot less bouncy and better hooked up this time. Is that because of the COT?? Have to admit my knowledge of the tintops isn't up there with F1 or Indycar…
