He and Peter Klutt ran part of Targa Newfoundland with us one year - got to talk to them both a bit throughout the week and sat with them at the awards banquet. Really great guy.

RIP

Truly one of the good guys. Here's the link to his company, just a small part of what he was all about. http://www.internalcombustiongroup.com/

I really liked him. Bumped into him from time to time at Indycar races over the years. Sad to hear this

Tom was a great guy, fantastic embassdor for the sport of auto racing, and a good friend of the 944 Cup. Tom announced several of the National championships for the series. Despite his popularity and success in the pro racing business, still had time for the grassroots guys. So sorry he is gone.

Fun guy, glad I got to meet him.
He told a great story that night about racing in the mid 80s (cant remember what series it was). He was standing next to a steward as one of the Ferri drivers was complaining about another competitor.
Ferrari driver (in his best italian accent) "youva gotta doa someting about that coravettea, he'sa gotta bea cheatin"

Steward "How do you know he's cheating"

Ferrari driver "because I'ma cheatin my *** off, and he'sa drivin righta by me!"
RIP Tom.
