Is the deck stacked against Porsche or what? ALMS should have impounded the car for an immediate detailed inspection. If race damage was present it probably would be apparent. Doing something like that would require WORK. Too bad.

Wow, amazing lap, so Ferrari wins... unbelievable... It was a fantastic drive from Bergmeister/Long, its nice to see the Lizards back in the hunt, but this blows...

Great drive by Long and Bergmeister once again. But rules are rules. If the shoe was on the other foot we would all be yelling at ALMS to DQ them. It sucks and I hate that the win gets taken away. Hopefully the Lizards can learn something from this and it never happens again.

I wish I was so sure it was an unintentional air leak. If it was caused by some part failure we would likely already know about it. I would love to know what the paddock talk is regarding the cause of the air leak.

Bummer about the Lizards as they're a local team and a couple buddies work there. But, happy my ESM homies finally got a win.. they've been close a couple times this far and glad they finally got it!

Wherever the leak was they should make it legal, that was the closest race between the 3 in a while, they looked perfectly matched (finally)...

If they were going to cheat and smear the factory name don't you think they'd do something not so easily discovered? I mean, they knew the stall test was coming. Pretty stupid way to cheat that's why I don't think it was on purpose.

If I were the Lizards and I knew it was something unintentional (race damage/failure), I would have mentioned it in the press release and maybe even posted a pic...

They may not know yet. Would they protest if they knew they were cheating?

Were they protesting the finding or the penalty?

Is there an additional penalty for filing a protest?

If not, why not file a protest?

I am their biggest fan....

Hah! That's as positive as this thread is negative...

Seriously, ALMS tech is more rigid than GA tech, IMO.

It was a great race, and there will be more!

cute pic! Pat's the man, and very generous with pics/autographs especially for kids.

Teams get caught cheating all the time. Nobody talks about it, they just assess the penalty and move on.

I am still curious where the leak emanated from. Do they perform the stall test on each car after each race?

I am a huge Lizard fan and am glad they are past the dry spell. I agree with others here who believe that the racing shows that the car needs the extra power anyway. Sometimes cheating is just what must be done to make it fair.
